Citrus Green Tea
Image is from before I added the orange juice. The OJ is what really makes it.
Ingredients
- 5 green tea bags
- ¼ cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 and ¼ c. water
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. orange juice, optional, freshly squeezed is best but any will do
Directions
- Rinse out/rinse off whatever you’re boiling water in, the teapot and a wooden spoon
- Boil 4 and ¼ c. water
- Pour roughly ¼ c. water into the teapot and swirl it around, then dump it out. Wait 5 minutes.
- Put the green tea bags into the teapot and pour the water over, cover with the lid, wait 10 minutes
- Take out the green tea bags and add 1 cup water to the teapot. Stir.
- Stir in the sugar and orange juice, and refrigerate it for at least an hour, preferably 4, up to overnight
- Pour over ice and serve
