Image is from before I added the orange juice. The OJ is what really makes it.

Ingredients

  • 5 green tea bags
  • ¼ cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 and ¼ c. water
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. orange juice, optional, freshly squeezed is best but any will do

Directions

  1. Rinse out/rinse off whatever you’re boiling water in, the teapot and a wooden spoon
  2. Boil 4 and ¼ c. water
  3. Pour roughly ¼ c. water into the teapot and swirl it around, then dump it out. Wait 5 minutes.
  4. Put the green tea bags into the teapot and pour the water over, cover with the lid, wait 10 minutes
  5. Take out the green tea bags and add 1 cup water to the teapot. Stir.
  6. Stir in the sugar and orange juice, and refrigerate it for at least an hour, preferably 4, up to overnight
  7. Pour over ice and serve
